Brief Explanation of Internet Course

I feel I owe everyone who hits these slides an explanation of the intent of the slides. I conceived and operate two WWW Servers. I developed an internal "Overview of the Internet Course". This course is an 8 hour course designed to be part lecture and hand's on training in a classroom environment.

These slides are not linked from any internal site. They were meant to be for the purpose of training personnel in their current networking environment. Somehow the URL got linked from another page (I am still trying to track the source).

The Evaluation Form was designed to give me feedback from the students how I had performed as an instructor and to forward to the personnel training Department. A few days ago, my mailbox started getting full from people going through these slides and evaluating the slides on their own merit.

There are a couple of things that I realize from this minor humorous incident. People are looking for some sources of education. Therefore, I have decided to move the Internet Course to my other Webserver. There are several reasons why I am doing this.

  1. It doesn't skew the log files on the an unrelated server
  2. I can modify these slides to represent more of a Computer Based Training class and not rely so heavily on the lecture portion of the class.
  3. I can modify the slides to be less oriented towards a specific environment, thereby making it more useful to the entire WWW community.

Please Bear With Me

Modifying the slides and providing all the necessary information to suppliment the current information is going to take some time and effort, so please be patient. Feel free to contact me if you have any suggestions or comments.
