John Junod, Carderock Division, Naval Surface Warfare Center, gave a briefing on the Metafile for Interactive Documents. The MID is a U.S. Navy effort sponsored by NAWCAD, St. Inigoes. It is an R&D effort to explore ways to interchange information among IETMs regardless of hardware/software platform.
